coffee cake anyone?

this is another recipe inspired / based on one found here

the filling is similar but a bit different:

since i cannot eat walnuts i used ground almonds and some chocolate

added more spices as well – ginger, all spice and nutmeg

I made half the recipe and made one half in a bread pan and the other half in a bundt pan – both came out quite good!

the 2nd time i made it with pistachios… yummier but too dry without more butter mixed into the filling. almonds must have more oil?
